WHY IS REJUVENATION SO IMPORTANT?

The YATAN Rejuvenation Program

Thanks to our recently developed YATAN Rejuvenation Program (available at YATAN Holistic Ayurvedic Centre), we will continue on the topic of rejuvenation from an Ayurvedic viewpoint so that you are informed and acquainted with what may very well be the most important phase of your life: The “after-40 decline”.

Now, you may be asking yourself: Do I really need to go on a rejuvenation program even if I’m feeling pretty much okay?

The answer we, as Ayurvedic practitioners give, is simple: If you are a) over 40 or b) dealing with chronic illness or c) dealing with symptoms that do not resolve with Western medicine, then you most certainly need an Ayurvedic rejuvenation experience! Even if you feel fine most of the time, the symptoms of ageing and potential disease will soon begin to rear their ugly head; why not do everything you can to minimise that possibility?

Rejuvenation is of great importance, particularly in this day and age – we are having children older, retirement age is pushing towards 70, and we are relied upon to care for our grandchildren at an older age ourselves.  But how necessary is it really? And how can rejuvenation be achieved through our YATAN Rejuvenation Program?

What You Must Understand About the Declining Body

To understand how necessary and important rejuvenation is, you must first understand what happens to the human body that renders it in need of a rejuvenation program.

As you age, the human body depletes itself and finds itself short of:

  • Nutrients
  • Lubrication fluid
  • Hormones
  • Elasticity (skin)
  • Flexibility (muscles, joints)
  • Firmness (skin, muscles, organs)
  • Digestive enzymes
  • Physical strength
  • Mental strength

From an Ayurvedic standpoint, these depletions are due to excessive Air in the body, known as Vata imbalance. But why is this even happening?

Mental Strength

As one ages, it is only natural for the body to go through a decline. This decline is predetermined by each person’s genetic blueprint, a group of characteristics regarding one’s constitution that factor in to how their body can cope with illness, ageing and imbalances.  This genetic blueprint takes into account your lifestyle, diet, emotional and mental characteristics, and even goes back to the way in which you were conceived, your mother’s health as you were in her womb, and the way you were born! All these factors determine how you age and how your body feels, heals and declines.

Rejuvenation is, thus, important because the decline is a given for all people as they age. There is nothing you can do about ageing and it is constantly happening to you. Even a healthy person will experience ageing symptoms. Sometimes the symptoms of ageing and decline may even creep up on younger people (under 40).

Therefore, everyone should go through a rejuvenation program at some point in their life.

General signs of a declining body, particularly in older people, often include:

  • Sagging and loosening of the skin and muscles
  • Wrinkly, dry skin
  • Prolapse of internal organs (due to old age or obesity)
  • Sluggish organ function
  • Fatigue, lack of physical energy
  • Chronically bad digestion
  • Body odour (due to low immunity to fight off bacteria, pH imbalance, etc)
  • Mental difficulties (memory loss, lack of concentration, etc)
  • Tooth decay or loss
  • Lack of skin and cartilage lubrication
  • Decrease in hormone levels
  • Low or lacking sex drive
  • Loosening and insufficiency of the muscles
  • Joint pain and/or stiffness

So what does Ayurveda have to offer as a solution to these impossible-to-avoid symptoms of ageing?

The Ayurvedic Rejuvenation Solution

Ayurveda has existed as a powerful mind-body-soul healing art for over 3,000 years. While in modern days people turn to Eastern Medicine when disease-related symptoms appear (and once Western Medicine has failed to provide solutions), Ayurveda aims to not only alleviate disease but also to minimise the probability of it occurring using preventative measures.

Our YATAN Rejuvenation Program is designed to improve your overall health by addressing the entire body, based on the holistic principles of Yoga, Ayurveda, Tantra, Astrology and Nature (Y.A.T.AN). It does not address only one part of the body but sees it as a whole, where the vast network of neurons, cells, and organs work in unison, each affecting one another when an imbalance is present. It is for this reason that this promising program has a full-year duration.

The program offers:

  • A customised plan for each patient according to their personal Dosha, health history and the symptoms presented
  • A detoxification and tonification of problematic organs (organic rejuvenation) and each body system (systemic rejuvenation)
  • Unique and tailor-made YATAN medicinal preparations created by Vaidya Raman Das
  • A boosting of the body’s natural rhythm in order to heal
  • Reversing of cellular damage and disease
  • Reduction of free radicals within the system
  • A relaxed, enjoyable experience that will leave you feeling refreshed, energised and highly motivated
Yoga

In Ayurveda, a rejuvenation experience is commonly known as Panchakarma. We have been tailoring Panchakarma programs at our clinic for two decades, however our new and improved YATAN Rejuvenation Program includes more than just Ayurveda,  and uses processes that do not require Panchakarma, making this program easier to fit into a modern, busy lifestyle.

The program includes healing methods and modalities (Yoga, Tantra, Astrology, etc), each of which are aimed towards complimenting different aspects of your health. For example:

  • Yoga will assist in the circulation of blood and transportation of nutrients to the organs within the body
  • Tantra will address disturbances and imbalances related to Karma
  • Astrology will pinpoint certain planetary influences that may be affecting your health
  • Ayurveda and Nature will address imbalances through diet and natural remedies

Results you can expect from the program include physical healing, emotional/mental healing, high energy, toning of the entire body, vitality, clarity, motivation and feelings of joy and positivity.

Conclusion

The body’s natural decline and relative symptoms affect every single person as they age. This is the reason rejuvenation is important and highly necessary, particular for anyone aged 40 and over.

Our YATAN Rejuvenation Program, which includes methods derived from Ayurveda, Yoga, Tantra, Astrology and Nature, is designed particularly for individuals who seek to reclaim their vitality and health, while enjoying their life fully as they age.
