Asthma Symptoms & Asthma Treatment Plan

The most essential feature of any effective Ayurvedic course of treatment is that it should be individually planned. When we take a look at the infinite variety of triggers that bring them on the symptoms of asthma, and further, at the great number of different ways that people can be affected, it becomes clear why this must be so.

Just to give a few examples of how people are affected by asthma, some people have wheezing at 3 PM, some at 6 PM and yet others through the night. In some people an asthma attack can be brought on very quickly by smoke, humidity or by excessive heat or cold. Sometimes certain types of food can be a problem, as can food additives: citrus fruits and MSG are two common culprits. Often, heavy exercise can cause asthma symptoms. In all of these cases the parameters of the different tolerance levels vary greatly. The effect on the individual also varies from person to person – depression, low motivation and low libido are all common symptoms.

When you undergo an Ayurvedic assessment we will first take great pains to evaluate your individual triggers, and we will want to know exactly how your asthma symptoms affect your daily life. Our first priority in your personal asthma treatment plan is to give you the antidotes which will enable you to achieve instant relief when you feel your symptoms starting to appear. In addition to supplying you with the tools to alleviate your asthma symptoms we will also look carefully at dietary and lifestyle factors in order to make recommendations as to ways in which you can reduce the likelihood of the onset of symptoms.

Now that your daily life is made more comfortable by the avoidance of your recognised triggers and by your new found ability to deal with asthma symptoms as they occur, we can focus on the longer term aspect of the treatment plan. This mainly involves healing the lungs. At the Yatan Holistic Ayurvedic Centre we have a comprehensive range of asthma treatments, including customised herbal medicines and detoxification programs, and you will be advised as to which of these will be of most benefit to you. Certain gentle yogic exercises, taking just 15 to 20 minutes each day may be suggested.

It should now be clear that the Ayurvedic asthma treatment is not a one size fits all system. If you are suffering and like the sound of our approach to the problem your next step is clear. Call the Yatan Centre without delay and arrange a consultation in which we can start you off on your personalised Ayurvedic asthma treatment plan.
